Guillermo Lares

is an architect and sound artist born in Caracas and based in Berlin since 2010. He studied Architecture, Design for Public Spaces, and did a Master in Sound Studies.
Sound has inspired Lares to transcend architectural formats taking spatial dialogues to other dimensions. In his works, movement and interaction are fundamental elements to transform our perceptions of space and sound environments. He implements digital media as well as manufactured objects.

Real time 3D documentation of Max Eastley's "Aeolian Circles" (singuhr - hoergalerie 2013)

To document Max Eastley's installation, four channels sound recordings from thirty-two positions are placed within a virtual environment. Visual stimulation is taken to its minimal expression, reducing space representation to a 3-D grid. The movement through the 3-D graphic triggers the reproduction of the recordings to simulate a sound walk through the virtual space.
