Rolf Giegold
MANIFEST
8th October 2009 - 8th November 2009
back to the season

The singuhr - hoergalerie is pleased to present three installations by the Berlin artist Rolf Giegold in the “General Public” project space. “MANIFEST” is an 8-channelled loudspeaker piece that reflects on the notion of art and culture in the current political discourse. Writing made up of miniature loudspeakers depicts a language collage of the policy statements of different political parties on the topic of art and culture. Through his parallel motions and superimposition, as well as the linguistically transmitted stylistics of the language sources, Giegold creates a space for reflecting on current cultural conditions.
