Raster / Landschaft

Hans Peter Kuhn sees the sound installation »Raster« in the nave of the Parochial Church as a »Sculpture in Space «. 25 loudspeakers hang down from the roof truss of the church. Fastened directly to the the junctions in the beam construction, they create an even roster from 5x5 sound sources. Undefinable, quiet sounds sneak through, contrapuncted by sound sequences from eight window niches containing bases.
The light-sound installation »Landschaft« (landscape) seals the belfry of the Parochial Church with an industrial mesh floor made of zinc metal under which fluorescent tubes and loudspeakers have been placed. It seems to sway so easily in the arches. Underneath, a parallel world of light and sound opens up, unreachable under the feet of the visitors and yet with a very distinct presence. While the lamps don«t change the light they emit, small sounds hurry from loudspeaker to loudspeaker.
